Appeals

Kynes Law handles a wide variety of appeals in state and federal courts on behalf of individual and corporate clients. We work closely with trial counsel and with individual and corporate clients to ensure that the best and strongest case possible is presented to the appellate court. Whether seeking to overturn a ruling or protecting a big verdict, we will work to reach the best possible outcome. And we have the substantive experience to understand complex legal issues, and distill them into clear, succinct arguments. We have a deep knowledge of appellate procedure in state and federal courts. And in each case we will meticulously review the facts, develop a full understanding of the legal issues, and map a path to the best possible outcome. The result will be a polished, concise and compelling presentation.

Trial lawyers and clients seek our help with interlocutory appeals, post-trial motions, appeal briefs, oral arguments, habeas corpus petitions, amicus briefs, and more.

Litigation & Trial Support

Kynes Law provides litigation support to attorneys in civil litigation before, during and after trial. We partner with trial counsel to maximize results, avoid pitfalls, and ensure that any harmful errors made by the trial court are preserved for appellate review. We have years of experience handling complex cases in the trial courts. And not only will we watch for potential appellate issues, we will also offer insights and strategies from pre-trial to post-trial.  We also offer top-notch written and oral advocacy on critical motions, post-trial efforts, and otherwise.

Trial lawyers and clients seek our help with brief writing, summary judgment motions, motions in limine, post-trial motions, jury instructions, mediation strategy, trial briefs, trial objections, and more.

Administrative Appeals

Kynes Law has experience handling administrative proceedings before state and local administrative bodies, including state agencies, Georgia’s Office of State Administrative Hearings, and local zoning boards. Much like our work in the trial courts, we work with clients and other lawyers to make the strongest possible case and to preserve the record for appellate review. Once an administrative decision is rendered, we handle the appeal to the appropriate judicial body.  We have handled administriatve appeals, petitions for certiorari, and mandamus petitions in the trial courts.
